The European INAPRO project aims at improving aquaponics through the development of a model and nutriënten te verminderen. Aquaponics is the integration of fish culture and plant cultivation.
Fytagoras is part of the research consortium and provides expertise and measurements for both the fish culture and plant cultivation. Innovative oxygen measurement systems are used to monitor oxygen levels in both the fish water and the root zone of the tomato plants in the green house. Fytagoras’ growWatch system is used to monitor the crop to help to optimize the growth conditions.
